Guru Purnima Celebrated at RVK – Hagaribommanahalli

Hagaribommanahalli, July 29: Gurupurnima was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hagaribommanahalli.

• Second-level girl students sang melodiously about the importance of the Guru.
• Smt. Kottureswari, the Kannada teacher of the school, who was the main speaker of the program, said, “Guru Purnima is the most sacred and revered festival in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain traditions. ‘Gu’ means ignorance (darkness), ‘Ru’ means the remover (light). The speciality of this day is to give thanks to the great guide who leads the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge.”
• Explaining the importance of Guru Purnima, “In Hindu culture, this day is celebrated as the birthday of Maharishi Vedavyasa. Vedavyasa is the source of knowledge who divided the four Vedas and gave the Mahabharata, Ashtadasa Puranas and Brahmasutras to the world. Therefore, he is considered the ‘Jagadguru’. Besides, remember the teachers, mothers and fathers and spiritual teachers who laid the moral, intellectual and spiritual foundation for our lives. “This day is great for offering devotional prayers,” he said.

ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಜುಲೈ 29: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ -ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುಪೂರ್ಣಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 

• ಎರಡನೇ ಸ್ತರದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಗುರುವಿನ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಸುಶ್ರಾವ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಡಿದರು. 
• ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾದ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟೂರೇಶ್ವರಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ “ಹಿಂದೂ, ಬೌದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತು ಜೈನ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರು ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತವಾದ ಹಬ್ಬವಾಗಿದೆ. ‘ಗು’ ಎಂದರೆ ಅಜ್ಞಾನ (ಕತ್ತಲೆ), ‘ರು’ ಎಂದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸುವವ (ಬೆಳಕು). ಅಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಗಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬ ಬೆಳಕಿನತ್ತ ನಡೆಸುವ ಮಹಾನ್ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದೇ ಈ ದಿನದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. 
• ಗುರು ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ “ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ವೇದವ್ಯಾಸರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾಲ್ಕು ವೇದಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ, ಮಹಾಭಾರತ, ಅಷ್ಟಾದಶ ಪುರಾಣಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಸೂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಜ್ಞಾನನಿಧಿ ವೇದವ್ಯಾಸರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವರನ್ನು ‘ಜಗದ್ಗುರು’ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ನೈತಿಕ, ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಅಡಿಪಾಯ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ತಾಯಿ-ತಂದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಗುರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಪೂರ್ವಕ ಪ್ರಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಈ ದಿನ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದುದು” ಎಂದರು.
