Hagaribommanahalli, Feb. 21: Mother Language Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hagaribommanahalli. Speaking about the importance of the day, the students said, “Every year on February 21, International Mother Language Day is celebrated all over the world. This day is dedicated to realizing the importance of mother languages and preserving linguistic diversity. In 1999, UNESCO officially declared this day. Mother Language enhances culture, tradition and knowledge. It is our duty to respect mother language.”
ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಫೆ. 21: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷಾ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, “ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 21ರಂದು ವಿಶ್ವ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷಾ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಲು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 1999ರಲ್ಲಿ ಯುನೆಸ್ಕೋ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿತು. ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ” ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.
