Hagaribommanahalli, May 30: Maharana Pratap Simha Jayanti was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hagaribommanahalli. Speaking as the chief spokesperson, Smt. Kottureshwari, the Kannada teacher of the school, spoke about the life and patriotism of Maharana Pratap and said, “Maharana Pratap was born in 1540 in Khumbalgarh Fort and was the king of Mewar. Maharana Pratap was a brave leader who always fought for freedom. He showed great resistance in several wars with the Mughal Emperor Akbar without being killed. Especially, the courage and bravery shown in the Battle of Haldighat are incidents that inspire the children of the school. He was a brave man who did not surrender before the Mughal Empire for his property or political gains.”
ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಮೇ 30: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾರಾಣಾ ಪ್ರತಾಪ ಸಿಂಹ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾಗಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟೂರೇಶ್ವರಿಯವರು ಮಹಾರಾಣಾ ಪ್ರತಾಪರ ಜೀವನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ “ಮಹಾರಾಣಾ ಪ್ರತಾಪ ಅವರು 1540ರಲ್ಲಿ ಖುಂಭಲ್‌ಗಡ್ ಕೋಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೇವಾಡದ ರಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಮಹಾರಾಣಾ ಪ್ರತಾಪರು ಸದಾ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡಿದ ಶೂರ ನಾಯಕರು. ಅವರು ಮೊಘಲ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಟ ಅಕ್ಬರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಹಲವಾರು ಯುದ್ಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವು ಬಲಿಯಾಗದೇ ಭಾರೀ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧ ತೋರಿದರು. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ, ಹಳ್ದಿಘಾಟ್ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿದ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೂರತೆಗೆ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡುವಂತಹ ಘಟನೆಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಸ್ತಿಪಾಸ್ತಿ ಅಥವಾ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಲಾಭಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೊಘಲ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಶರಣಾಗದ ಧೈರ್ಯವಂತರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
