Hagaribommanahalli, Nov. 18: Kanakadasa Jayanti was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hagaribommanahalli. Speaking about Kanakadasa, the school office supervisor, Sri Shivashankaraiah, said, “Kanakadasa is a great man who, as one of the pioneers of the golden age of Dasa literature, began his career as a ‘Vishwa Manava’ without any caste barriers. There is no caste difference between air, wood, water. Kanakadasa’s ideas and principles are still an ideal for all of us today. Let us adopt them in ourselves.” The students talked about Kanakadasa’s life achievements.

ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ, ನ. 18: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಕದಾಸ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಾಲಾ ಕಛೇರಿ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವಶಂಕರಯ್ಯರವರು ಕನಕದಾಸರ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, “ದಾಸ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಯುಗದ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗಿ ಯಾವ ಜಾತಿಗೂ ಅಡ್ಡಿಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ವಿಶ್ವ ಮಾನವರಾಗಿ ವಿಜೃಂಭಿಸಿದ ಮಹನೀಯರು ಕನಕದಾಸರು. ಗಾಳಿ, ಮರ, ನೀರು ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಜಾತಿ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲ. ಕನಕದಾಸರ ವಿಚಾರಗಳು, ತತ್ವಗಳು ಇಂದಿಗೂ ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಆದರ್ಶಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕನಕದಾಸರ ಜೀವನ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
