Hagaribommanahalli, Nov. 23: A drill and demonstration was held by the Fire Department in collaboration with the Fire and Safety Department herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hagaribommanahalli. Fire Department Officers, Sri Vasudevappa, Sri Shivakanth, Sri Manappachari and other staff members explained the methods of extinguishing fires in case of fire accidents. They demonstrated the steps to extinguish fires in buildings, inside rooms, gas cylinders and petroleum products. Advising students of classes 9 and 10, he explained the precautionary measures to prevent fire, saying, “Fire occurs when three elements – fuel, oxygen, and heat – come together. Be careful when using gas.”
ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ, ನ. 23: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಹಗರಿಬೊಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದವರಿಂದ ಡ್ರಿಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಾಸುದೇವಪ್ಪನವರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವಕಾಂತ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮಾನಪ್ಪಾಚಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನುಳಿದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಅಗ್ನಿ ಅವಘಡ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದಾಗ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಆರಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳಿಗೆ, ಕೊಠಡಿಯ ಒಳಗೆ, ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಸಿಲಿಂಡರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲಿಯಂ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಅನಾಹುತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದಾಗ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಆರಿಸುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆ ಮೂಲಕ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. 9 ಹಾಗೂ 10ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ “ಉರಿಯಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ವಸ್ತು, ಆಮ್ಲಜನಕ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಖ ಈ ಮೂರು ಅಂಶಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಾಗ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಅವಘಡ ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಬಳಸುವಾಗ ಜಾಗರೂಕರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ತಗುಲದಂತೆ ಮುಂಜಾಗ್ರತಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
